Healthcare Worker Honor Flight @ Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital

Healthcare Worker Honor Flight @ Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital

Follow the Flag North Ogden was honored to unveil “the Lieutenant”, our 30’x60′ American Flag, on the north tower of the Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital in a show of support and thanks to the healthcare workers there. Plans moved along during the last couple weeks as hospital administrators and our team found the appropriate location to honor these workers. In an effort to support them, our teams worked in a responsible manner preparing and unfurling the flag with social distancing and masks as required.

The north tower was chosen for it’s size but more importantly, for it’s meaning as the employee entrance to the hospital. From the property boundary and up both approaches to the building, we also deployed 300 smaller flags that line the streets in a flag corridor.

South Ogden Fire, Police and EMTs were there to support with their vehicles and trucks as well. We thank them for their support.

A special thank you to the staff at McKay-Dee and Intermountain Healthcare for allowing this honor flight to happen.

Roadside flags will remain in place during daylight hours and retrieved at night. The Lieutenant will be illuminated by a powerful light from dusk until dawn as required by flag code. The flag will remain in place until Tuesday morning April 28th.
