The Follow The Flag Walk

A tradition that has become a powerful experience in Pleasant Grove and surrounding communities. The walk kicks off the celebration of our nation’s birth and the flight of the world’s largest American flag to ever fly.
Each year, on the Sunday before July 4th, communities gather, family, friends and neighbors come together to escort the beautiful American Flag from the Veteran’s memorial in the PG cemetary, up 500 North to Grove Creek Canyon.
The evening walk is a gradual 1 mile uphill climb on paved asphalt that will fill your heart and soul with new patriotic joy that will likely remain with you forever.
A brief ceremony will be held in the Grove Creek trailhead parking lot to complete the event, including the folding of the giant flag.
Join in our walk, invite a Veteran and active duty member of military, invite your PD, FD and EMS.
This event is FREE to attend. No ticket required.
