The Follow the Flag family sends our deepest condolences to the Acosta family. Many at Follow the Flag knew Dave personally or had the opportunity to be trained by him. He was a pillar in the community and exemplified what we all strive to be. For those that did not know Dave, he served as a law enforcement officer for many years. After that he dedicated his life to empowering others in personal defense. He founded @youtactical_nation and @fightbacknation and certified countless teachers and schools in active shooter training. Along with still training law enforcement officers he fought to combat human trafficking. Dave’s life was dedicated to his country, his community and to lifelong service. To honor Dave, Follow the Flag will be setting up flags at the cemetery, at his home and at his funeral. My grandpa taught me the importance of loving the flag and the country it represents. He is the reason I love studying history and politics. He fought in World War 2 and my step dad and uncles served during Vietnam. I have always loved the flag and get choked up whenever I sing the national anthem. Follow the Flag shares that love and patriotism to our town and all the lives they touch and service they do. They know what it means to be Proud to be an American.
